Review: Erykah Badu “OUT MY MIND JUST IN TIME “

Neo soul songstress Erykah Badu does double duty as director and performer in the interpretive dance offering “Out my mind, just in time”. The cinematography from Coodie and Chike is casual and handheld, the camera never clings too hard to her position, instead it follows her loosely. With classic film  scratches staining the frame, there’s an undeniable vintage spirit to the film. A spirit very much in line with the songs composition and Erykah’s performance; her frill free decorum and authenticity would have us believe this video recording was taken from a rehearsal session, a flawless rehearsal nonetheless.
