Review: Phantoms “Voyeur” ft. Nicholas Braun

Electro-pop duo Phantoms released the gloomy video for their dark and seductive new single “Voyeur” earlier this week. Like the name of the track suggests, the viewer watches from a far as a dancer breaks down into a fit of rage following a failed audition. Escaping the glares of the panel of judges, the dancer flees into a dimly lit alleyway where she encounters a group of security guards who join her in a Michael Jackson esque dance break. All the while these same guards are looking her over with their flashlights, inspecting her body from head to toe. Directed by Ace Norton and choreographed by Tracy Phillips and Dominic Carbone, the clip perfectly conveys the mood and subject matter of the song through it’s narrative, lighting and the erratic moves of the dancer.
